MARCH HARE 70'S PARTY

Southbound… will take you on a journey that embodies the music influenced by Rock and Roll, Country and the birthplace of American music.
In 2014, lead vocalist and Virginia native, George Cameron set out to bring that Southern Rock sound north of the 49th Parallel.
He named this musical entity SOUTHBOUND.
Performing Southern Rock mixed with a bit of Texas Blues, a splash of Classic Rock and a dash of Contemporary Country the Southbound experience will leave you wanting more.
Covering everything from the Allman Brothers Band and Lynyrd Skynyrd to Chris Stapleton and ZZ Top, Southbound was born out of the passion to carry on this great music.
A night with Southbound will have you dancing to some upbeat Southern Rock, Classic Rock and Country mixed in with some great slow tunes to help get that belt buckle polished to.

Last time they performed at Club 240 they brought the house down!

The Way Cool Band has been performing at special events, casinos, festivals and fairs throughout the Pacific NW for many years. It includes some of the finest musicians in the region from both sides of the border.  Key members include Laurence Knight, Bruce Coughlan and World Bluegrass Champion Nolan Murray.
They have performed and recorded with such artists as Brenda Lee, John Fogarty, Loretta Lynn, Jerry Doucette, The Sun Rhythm Section (Elvis’s 1st band), legendary Rolling Stones producer Andrew Oldham to name but just a few.
This background and experience gives the band the ability to play many styles of music with seamless professionalism, energy and confidence.
They can perform your favorite songs - requests are always welcome - from the “Baby Boomer” era; a variety of classic pop with music ranging from 1950’s Rock & Rollers like Presley, Orbison and the Everlys, 1960’s icons like the Beatles, Rolling Stones & Beach Boys, mega stars of the 1970’s like the Eagles, Eric Clapton & Steve Miller as well as 80’s popsters like Fleetwood Mac, Tom Petty, The Travelling Willburys; and today’s artists like James Blunt, Train, Counting Crows etc.

House Special will be gracing the stage at Club 240 Friday November 8th and filling the room with a wide range of great music all night long.

House Special consists of 5 members with a combined talent and performance of 150 years who've played venues from the Yale Hotel to Merritt Mountain Music Festival and a multitude of venues in between. Their music spans decades of great music covering artists from Stevie Wonder to Neil Young to Big Joe Turner making it an evening of great music to fulfill all your music tastes by great singers and musicians.

Our first Blues jam in June went over so well we thought we'd have another.

This talented group of musicians is very well known throughout the Lower Mainland. With a number of albums to their credit and being nominated for a Maple Blues Award as New Artist of the Year in 2003 and for W.C.M.A. awards as Outstanding Blues CD of the Year in both 2005 and 2007, they bring a lot of credentials to the party! They have opened for the likes of Pinetop Perkins, Bo Diddley, Coco Montoya and many more. They were even invited by Joni Mitchell to perform at her 60th birthday party. With the double guitar threat of Ted Tosoff and Rick Dalgarno, Dan Ross on Bass and John McCreath on drums, the audience at Club 240 is really going to be in for a treat. Whatever you do….don’t miss this amazing group!

Big Hank has been singing the blues since1974. He is a former RCA Recording Artist and member of the Victoria Music Hall of Fame. He toured extensively in the 80′s opening for such legends as Muddy Waters, Joe Cocker, James Cotton, Koko Taylor and Paul Butterfield to name a few. Additionally, in January of 2015 he had the opportunity to represent British Columbia in Memphis at the International Blues Challenge with his band.


Big Hank’s band The R&B Kingpins are a tight 7 piece band with horns.So take a turn off the “Traditional” path and enjoy a glimpse into the heart and soul of Christmas from a Blues point of view played by this exceptional group of world class musician’s.


Big Hank is known for his powerful voice and whether he is performing with gut-wrenching drive or gently caressing a moment of musical tenderness, you’ll feel the magic of the holiday blues right down to your toes.
This show is a collection of traditional Blues Christmas tunes from the 20’s, 30’s, 40’s 50’s, and 60’s, by the likes of Louis Jordan, Big Joe Turner, BB King, Eric Clapton, Charles Brown, Etta James and more. It’s not the standard collection of carols, rather it’s a tribute that gives you a look into the souls of the fabulous music legends sharing their Christmas Blues. A refreshing take on a holiday concert, it has played to sold-out houses and received rave reviews across British Columbia for the past 4 years.


This show played to sold out houses and standing ovations in BC and Alberta last winter and has had rave reviews here on the Island and lower mainland.
This is not the usual Christmas Show of standard Christmas carols you know but a tribute that gives you a look into the souls of these fabulous Blues Legends by sharing the Christmas Blues songs written by them. You will find it a very refreshing take on a Christmas Music Show.


This is the eighth year that Big Hank will been doing this Christmas Show.

Together this horn section provides the tight punctuation and exciting solos that make Big City Soul one of the best big bands in the city….. The Big City….

The Ocean Park Wailers bring amazing energy to every show as they perform a collection of deep blues, rock,  R&B, roots and originals. They particularly please the dance crowd who come in droves to their performances.
The Wailers are led by their dynamic vocal duo of Terry Raible and Carolyn Neapole
Terry Raible is very well known in Vancouver music circles having sung with such bands as Granville, Mainland and Sterling, All About Jack, Top City  and currently being the lead singer of Big City Soul. His dynamic singing style has made him a Vancouver favorite. He is excited about getting back to his R & R roots with the Wailers.
Carolyn Neapole is an exciting, wise performer and a songwriter with a poet’s love of words and a painter’s eye for detail who for years has been a fixture on the Victoria and Vancouver music scene.  Winner of the West Coast M Awards for Top Female Songwriter and Top Female Vocalist, Neapole has had a career of being recognized for the depth of her songwriting and the wisdom in her voice and has often been compared to Sarah McLachlan, Jann Arden and Natalie Merchant.
Together with band members Kevin Irwin on lead guitar and vocals, Russ Froese on bass and vocals, Paul Sorbara on drums, Elliot Clarkson on sax and vocals and the double barreled keyboard combo of Bill Brooks and Jim Widdifield they make up an exciting “get off your seat and dance” ensemble.

Gale Force Blues Piggies is a group of seasoned veteran musicians who have been performing around the Lower Mainland and beyond for many years.  Their music is a high energy, eclectic mix of Blues, Classic Rock and Soul music that will keep everyone on the dance floor all night.  The band members include Howlin’ Jon Gale (guitar and vocals), Mike Carter (guitar), Jamie Dale (vocals), Steve Moore (sax and vocals), Howard Greenstein (keyboards), Mike Ellerback (bass), Tambelena (percussion and vocals) and Terry Hoff (drums).  Add to this mix the amazingly talented trombonist Randy Oxford.  Randy, Washington State Performer of the Year, whose prowess on trombone and ability to ignite an audience's enthusiasm have become legendary in the Northwest, is a fixture on the Legendary Rhythm and Blues Cruise and the Big Blues Benders where he plays with every major artist in the blues world.

Formed over 10 years ago, the Mojo Stars quickly established themselves as a force to be reckoned with, thanks to their combination of well-crafted originals and timely covers.  With deep roots in the blues and soul, combined with a rock-driven edge, the band is currently supporting their latest release, “Under The Influence”, which is garnering rave reviews while enjoying large amounts of airplay, both at home and abroad.

Get prepared for one of Vancouver’s premier bands. Live at Club 240 and the Semiahmoo Music Consortium is proud to present Incognito on Friday September 13th. Incognito is led by the fiery guitar work of Rob Montgomery and features the dynamic vocals of Nadine States. Add to that, the masterful keyboard work of Steve Webicki  and the driving rhythm section of bassist David Barton and drummer Darrell Mayes (formerly with Colin James) and what you end up with is an amazing evening of music and dance.
