Spawned in the heart of beautiful Ocean Park Surrey, the Ocean Park Wailers is an organic musical project. It began as three experienced but retired musicians coming back to their craft.

It has swelled and transformed into a popular seven-member South Surrey band that particularly delights the dancers in the crowd. From the deep blues, to rock and R & B, to roots and originals, the Wailers play what they love - and judging from the audience reaction…it shows.

Hard driving R & B and Classic Favorites are the trademark of The Cooler Kings. The band, formed in 2012, is comprised of their lead singer and trumpet master Willy Ward, formerly of The R&B All Stars and The Powder Blues, Paul Sorbara on drums, Elliott (El Cid) Clarkson on sax, the smooth violin stylings of Renee Dora Cooke, Paulo Silva on bass, Leonard Bodin on lead guitar and the double barreled keyboard combination of Bill Brooks and Jim Widdifield.

It’s not a coincidence that the Cooler Kings have been playing to packed venues since their inception. If you are ready to dance and party, the Cooler Kings are your choice.

Formed in 2015, the Retrogrades have recently begun bringing their love of high-energy Rock n’ Rock to venues south of the Fraser.  The Retrogrades play danceable hits from across the years, including Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, Beatles, Lenny Kravitz, Queen, Duran Duran, The Doors, as well as recent hits from performers like Weeknd & Pharrell.
The Retrogrades came together when 3 work colleagues realized all they shared a love of live music. Ted Johnson (vocals, guitar), Brad Bauman (lead guitar) and Neil Stephenson (drums) work together in leadership roles with the Delta School District.  After a year of jamming for fun and a few school district events, discussions about expanding the project began. The search for a bass player lead them to Stephan Major, a local Ocean Park contractor.
Recently the Retrogrades have begun playing shows locally around White Rock and Ladner, including a recent and memorable opportunity to be the opening act for Jim Byrnes.  Shows so far have been packed out and full of energy. Come ready to dance!
